Dynamos 1 – Whiteknights
5
The
second fixture of the season saw Dynamos taking on their old rivals,
Whiteknights. With Anaisa away on Reading duty the team was down to just one
substitute.
Sometimes
things just don’t go your way and this game was unfortunately one of those for
Dynamos!
Dynamos
got off to a flying start and put together wave after wave of attack on the
Whiteknights goal but despite best efforts couldn’t make the chances count.
Harrison, Charlie, Jay and Harry all having several attempts each.
With
about 15 minutes gone and Whiteknights yet to mount an attack Dynamos finally
got the breakthrough, a neat move saw harry finish off with an unstoppable
shot. – Dynamos 1 – whiteknights 0.
Dynamos
continued dominating the game and Felix had a series of chances that just
wouldn’t go in. Charlie, Thomas and Harrison also went close.
Towards
the last 15 minutes of the half whiteknights had their first attack, this was
followed by another chance before, totally against the run of play they got an
equalizer. – Dynamos 1 – Whiteknights 1.
Whiteknights
were having their best period and unlike Dynamos they took their chances well.
The second goal for them coming from a bullet header that gave Jordan no
chance. Dynamos 1 – Whiteknights 2.
Dynamos
seemed to be in shock at going behind but regained their composure to put
together another wave of attacks at the end of the first half. Charlie and Ru
both coming close to getting the equaliser.
HALF TIME – Dynamos
1 – Whiteknights 2
At the
restart a swift attack saw whiteknights extend their lead, Dynamos seemed half
asleep as the game started to slip away. – Dynamos 1 – Whiteknights 3
A shot
by Felix was followed by another big blow for Dynamos as Jordan went off
injured, so Dynamos goal was protected by Harry then by Ru for the remainder of
the game.
Harry made
a good save before Charlie and Ru went close to grabbing a goal back. Then on another
quick break Whiteknights scored again. – Dynamos 1 Whiteknights 4.
Dynamos
pressed hard and went for a goal to get them back in the game but a mixture of
poor finishing and some great work from the whiteknights keeper kept them at
bay with Charlie, Jay, Harrison, Travis and Harry all coming close.
The last
few minutes were dominated by Dynamos but to rub salt in the wounds a breakaway
in the final minute saw Whiteknights add a 5th goal. – Dynamos 1 –
Whiteknights 5.
As the
Referee blew the final whistle Dynamos realised that missing all those chances
has cost them dear and the scoreline didn’t reflect the game as it should.
The
positives to take are that 28 goal scoring chances were created during the game
by Dynamos. Just have your shooting boots on next game!
