Dynamos v Maidenhead

Dynamos 3 – Maidenhead 3

After last week’s unmentionable result, Dynamos were hoping this game would bring their first points of the season, matched up against fellow promoted team, Maidenhead.

The game started at a quick pace with Dynamos having most possession in the first few minutes with Felix coming close to opening the scoring.

Maidenhead then started to get into the game and were kept out with a couple of good saves by Jordan before Dynamos broke and Ru got the ball into the net but celebration turned to disappointment at the offside flag.
This spurred Dynamos on and a cracking pass by Felix saw Jay breakthrough the Maidenhead defence to finish clinically – Dynamos 1 – Maidenhead 0.

The next 10 minutes saw end to end football with both teams having chances, some great saves by Jordan and the Maidenhead keeper kept it at 1 – 0 before Charlie thought he’d made it 2 -0 only to be disappointed to see that dreaded offside flag again.

Maidenhead then had a strong end to the half where they scored with a quick breakaway goal to equalise. – Dynamos 1 – Maidenhead 1.

A good save from Jordan preceded a break by Dynamos resulting in a corner. Felix whipped in a great ball that a maidenhead defender attempted to clear but spun in his own net.-  Dynamos 2 – Maidenhead 1.

With the first half coming to an end dynamos pushed hard for a third with Travis coming close before Maidenhead broke and scored the equaliser with just about the last touch of the half – Dynamos 2 – Maidenhead 2.

HALF TIME – Dynamos 2 – Maidenhead 2.

The second half began as the first half ended with end to end football, both teams creating several chances to take the lead. In this period Ru and Harrison went close to scoring with the Dynamos defence and Jordan keeping Maidenhead at bay down the other end.

With the game balanced, midway through the second half, Maidenhead got the lead for the first time. – Dynamos 2 Maidenhead 3.

Dynamos searched for an equaliser in a frantic last 10 minutes of the game, Charlie, Travis and Felix all coming close before the pressure paid off with a cracking shot by Jay flying in for his second and the best goal of the game! – Dynamos 3 – Maidenhead 3.

The last minutes saw both teams pushing for the winner, Harrison just missing out on the glory goal.
The final whistle ended a very even game, which is reflected in the attempts on goal being the same for each team.

Well played Dynamos and well done on first point of the season.

Final Score – Dynamos 3 – Maidenhead 3.
