A late kick off into bright sunshine saw Dynamos come into the game full of confidence and a steely determination to win.
This was the first round of the cup and the opponents were Hurst from division 3.

From the restart Dynamos went straight into the offensive dominating possession, the defenders mopping up any Hurst attacks before they troubled Jordan to make a save. A close effort by Charlie was followed by a 2nd Dynamos goal, a strike by Felix which was reward for his determination to get to the ball first. – Dynamos 2 – 0.
Dynamos continued to pressure the Hurst goal with efforts coming close by Ru, Harrison and Jay. Sound defensive work by Hayden, Thomas and Travis kept Hurst’s chances down to a minimum, when called into action Jordan made two good saves. The first half ended as it began with Dynamos causing all sorts of problems for the Hurst defence.

At this point Dynamos were in control and were determined to get a fifth goal to better their season’s best score. They peppered the Hurst goal with efforts going close by Harrison, Charlie and Jay before Felix grabbed his second and Dynamos fifth with a well taken goal. - Dynamos 5 – 0.
Following the fifth goal, with the game almost over, Dynamos relaxed a bit and the rigid organisation they had kept all game broke and Hurst took advantage breaking through and getting their only goal of the game. – Dynamos 5 – 1.
